Levolor mini blinds suck big time!!
I purchased 2 Levolor mini blinds only to find out they won't even close up but about half way nor can I raise them up or down. Thank goodness I only bought 2. From now on I will buy the vinyl mini blinds, at least they work... Enclosed is a picture of a Levolor...

Wish I had read this review. I bought 10 for my new house and all are the same.

Do not purchase the one inch mini blinds and expect them to close. Mine don't!! I thought Levolor was a decent brand.

Will Never purchase again. I expected blinds to close fully.

Update by user Mar 18, 2014

I wanted to update my review since it's now almost a year later. Blinds continue to break at an alarming rate - all but two have been sent back for repairs, some more than once.

Levolor has a new 10 year warrantee and has repaired the blinds without any issue. The pr...

We have had the same problem. Within 2 years we have have had 6 out of 11 break.

We were told they would replace them if there was ever a problem and now they say it's only guaranteed for a year. We spent $2000 and now have to decide if we want to redo all of our window covering or start over with another company.

I too purchased a large Levolor Cordless Blind and the cord is actually very thin. The cords on both sides got chewed up somehow and broke. They should have told me not to buy such a large blind with cordless. It was much too heavy to hold up and I am very unhappy...

We purchased 8 designer linen cellular shades. Top down bottom up cordless shades, within 3 years every blind had to be sent back at least once, twice due to breaking.

Very cheap mechanism and very cheap cords. Now warranty is up and 2 just broke again!! Looking to replace all 8 windows but WILL NOT USE LEVOLARS EVER AGAIN.

THEY SELL *** AT RIDICULOUS PRICES!! Customer service was useless

Levolor - Lousy warranty for a lousy product

After one year of use, both of my sets of Levelor Accordia cordless blinds (two on one head rail) malfunctioned. One blind wouldn't completely pull down, and the other wouldn't go back up. At first glance, it looked like the warranty would cover them, no problem, but the "sole remedy" offered the customer is (at the company's discretion)to have them repaired--that involves the customer taking them down, bringing them to a shipper and paying for them to be packaged and shipped back to Levelor's Repair Center in Utah (Levelor will graciously pay for return shipping only). A quality product shouldn't malfunction in one year; and a customer shouldn't have to pay out of pocket to remedy a clearly defective product. And who knows how long I'll have to live with bare windows until I receive the repaired blinds back. And will they be repaired with the same poor materials that malfunctioned in the first place? BTW, these were not the least expensive blinds available--they cost just over $400--but I thought I was paying for a reputable name. I was wrong.

Levolor - Blinds broke in a day.

I purchased some custom order cordless wood blinds for about $300. While installing everything seemed to be in order and there was no sign of any defect. Then on day 2 the blinds went crooked so I tried readjusting them and they wouldn't go proper. So I took them down to take a closer look and try to make out what was wrong and noticed that some mechanism held by a small plastic clip had already broke. These are supposed to be quality blinds according to the price and yet after no use at all they already broke. Terrible quality.

Levolor in Blaine, Washington - Levelor Cordless Blinds

I wanted a clean look to our living room without dangerous cords, so I bought these blinds to solve the problem. I've been extremely disappointed. Don't buy these expensive, overpriced blinds. They suck. The mechanism is cheap and made out of a mix of flimsy plastic and metal. Consequently they are prone to failure. When you put the blinds up they *** all the way back down because the mechanism is so weak it can't hold the blind up. Very frustrating to have blinds that don't retract during our long, grey, dark Pacific North West winters.

Levolor in Bellevue, Washington - Levelor - Poor quality Blinds

I remember when Levelor stood for quality and made what may have been the best mini blinds. That was long ago and far away... I purchased 4 metal mini blinds from the local Lowes' store and the quality was extremely low!!! I figure the company had to lower their prices so low that they just could not build a decent product. I understand you get what you pay but this is beyond reason. My complaints involve the way they fail to work and the general poor craftsmanship. The binds barely close with gaps remaining, they fail to lower except when set to a particular rotation, and the wands are pathethic. The wands are in two parts and snap together. The wands break with almost no force and I broke one into two pieces with my finger bumping it. Hard to believe but true... My reccomendation to Levelor is to close your doors, re-tool, and then re-open with a new product and a new name. If there is a Mr. Levelor and he is dead, then he is rolling in his grave. A sad sad story!!!

Warranty for levolor shades is useless! The cord broke and I have to pay to ship it back for repair. I spent over $500.00 on custom blinds so I would have nices window coverings. This is unacceptable. Levolor should send out a box for shipping and pay the cost to...

I wrote the Review # 34665 and received a call from Blindgsgalore where I bought my Levelor shades from. I was very impressed that Blindsgalore cared enough to make the situation right.

I received a call from Tristie @ Blindsgalore telling me she spoke to Levelor on my behave and got them to make a new shade and send it out to me so I would not have to go through any inconvenience.

What a great lady and it changed my mind about dealing with Blindsgalore.com (top notch company). Thank you Blindsgalore...don't be afraid to use them they stand behind their customers!

Bought 14 Levelor cordless blinds in 2000. Have had to send at least one or more back in for repair every year. That means over 14 - I keep repair records. Some have been sent in more than once. Apparently the cord keeps breaking because of a poor design of the blind...
